Eiger incabloc diver

May 16, 2010

Price: 65$

This is a beautiful Swiss made 1970ies diver’s watch with a black leather wristband.

The watch has a waterproof rating of 5 ATMs on the back, but I don’t think that is the truth anymore. I would not try to take it down to that depth anyways. I don’t know much of the Eiger brand, Other then Eiger is the name of a mountaintop in Switzerland. The case has obvious dings and scratches, as the pics shows, as have the bezel ring as well. But overall the watch looks good and keeps time. This is a nice classical divers watch that sits nicely on your wrist at any occasion.

Tärnan Formule MS 80

May 13, 2010

SOLD

The “Tärnan” was a popular brand during the 50ies and 60ies and was only sold on the Swedish market. During this time most of the brands made in Sweden was licensed from abroad and had Nordic names according to the nationalistic atmosphere like Birka, Runa, and Viking.

This watch is from the 1960ies and is obviously inspired by racing, as can be seen on the yellow and black chess pattern and by the name formule MS 80.

Size: 36mm (without crown)

The Formule MS 80 watch was inspired by the Ford Cosworth powered racing car Matra MS80 that held great successes for Jackie Stuart and winning him the Formula One World Championship title in 1969.
